In the last couple of days I received a long awaited email from my friend Geir Tjelta in Norway. Many will remember him. Geir wrote to ask for our prayers. This is a little from what he wrote -
“Suddenly on Friday 30 June in the evening I felt ill and during the night I was booked into the hospital. On Monday morning I was sent to the main hospital in Oslo, “Rikshospitalet” – I have chronic myeloid leukemia – or blood cancer. So I have to be at the hosptal for 4-6 weeks to start with.
Please pray for me – if you are up for it.
I am quite sure that God has much more for me, I just have to fight through this – God is full of mercy and love and I’m gonna stand up on my feet after this.”
As you can see, he is in fighting mode. Will you stand with me and agree to pray regularly for Geir? If you will and you’d like to send him scriptures and words of encouragement, email them to me and I’ll make sure they are forwarded to him.
Thanks.
