Well, here we are in Malmo.
The flight over was interesting. It started with the plane being 45 minutes late. Then Carla and I had a frantic chase through the airport to our departure gate when they dispensed with the first call and went straight to the final call. Well, I suppose I needed some exercise to keep the ol’ heart tickin’. No sooner had we sat in our seats than it felt we were taking off! Exciting stuff. The rest of the flight was uneventful, other than a lunch of really nice Danish open sandwiches.
When we landed in Copenhagen, we had a smooth transition from the plane to the train. Almost everyone seems to speak good English. During the descent in the plane we got a glimpse of the bridge we’d be travelling on to get to Sweden. It looked good, only it disappeared into the water near Copenhagen. I had some concern about this until the journey on the train. It turns out the bridge disappears into a tunnel. Okay, okay, I know, it should have been obvious to me! I’ll post some more when I get time.
